Ireland Tour Packages...Incredible Journeys Await You
Welcome to Ireland, a land where culture and people meet in a splendor of colorful, imaginative wonder. Ireland is known as the land with 40 shades of green. It is a country with a rich history that dates back several thousand years, with a fascinating Celtic heritage. Green hills and fields surrounded by some of the most spectacular coastline in the world, the landscape makes a perfect vacation setting. There is so much to see and do, that Ireland will appeal to almost everyone. It is also an economical vacation compared to other areas of Europe. There are frequent air specials available, and from New York it’s only around a 6 hour flight to Dublin.
Best Time to take an Ireland tour package:
June through August are the most popular for tourists because the weather is a bit warmer and there tends to be more sunshine. You get long days as it doesn’t get dark until around 11 p.m. We recommend considering the spring or fall months so that there are less crowds, and the weather is still pleasant although the night are colder.
Rain showers are common during the spring afternoons, but these usually stop within a few hours and afford memorable views of rainbows over the countryside. We feel the best months to travel are May, June and October. Always take a jacket or sweater.
Getting To Ireland:
Several airlines fly into Dublin including Delta, Aer Lingus, and United. Several major airports on the East Coast of the U.S. offer direct flights into Dublin or Shannon airports.
Ireland is 304 miles long and 172 miles wide. The country is on GMT (Greenwich Mean Time,) and does follow daylight savings like we do in the U.S. In Northern Ireland the currency is the sterling. In the rest of the country they euro is used. Banks and ATM machines can be found in the larger cities, and credit cards are widely accepted. Best shopping is for crystal, Irish whiskey, pottery, jewelry and blackthorn walking sticks.
