Airport Transfers
 
  • London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It''s that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
  • Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:

  • Day 3 - London – Stratford – Worcester – Llandrindod Wells First to Stratford-upon-Avon to visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace and see Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. Then to Worcester to see the Royal Pottery and the Cathedral before continuing to Llandrindod Wells to enjoy a Welcome Drink before dinner with your Tour director. (Continental Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 4 - Llandrindod Wells – Caernarvon First to Llangollen, then to Betws-y-coed before a scenic drive over the Llanberis Pass in the Snowdonia National Park to Caernarvon. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 9 - Ennis – Ring of Kerry – Kenmare Bay (Kerry) First to Limerick to view King John''s 12th century Castle. Later, we arrive in the Kingdom of Kerry where we enjoy spectacular views as we follow the Ring of Kerry to Kenmare for the night. (Full Breakfast)

  • Day 10 - Kenmare Bay – Blarney – Waterford First we visit Blarney Castle where we kiss the Stone to acquire ’the gift of the gab’ Then via Cork and through Youghal where ‘Moby Dick’ was filmed, to Waterford for a guided tour of the Crystal Factory. Tonight, a dinner of Irish specialities in a typical restaurant. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

  • Day 11 - Waterford – Cardiff At Rosslare we embark for our cruise across the Irish sea to Pembroke in South Wales. Then we drive along the coast to the seaside resort of Tenby. Then on to Cardiff. Tonight we enjoy a Farewell Dinner together. (Full Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)

  • Day 12 - Cardiff – Bath – London We enjoy an orientation of Cardiff showing us the Castle and Millennium stadium. Later we drive to Georgian Bath to visit the Roman Baths. We return to London through Windsor Great Park and Runnymede, where the Magna Carta was sealed. (Full Breakfast)

  • Day 3 - Dublin – Belfast We travel via the Boyne valley, site of the famous battle, to enjoy views of Carlingford Lough before a scenic drive to Downpatrick. Then on to Belfast where our sightseeing shows us the City Hall, Queen’s University and Stormont Castle. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 4 - Belfast – Bushmills – Giants Causeway – Letterkenny (2 nights) We drive along the Antrim coast, seeing the castles at Ballygalley and Glenarm, to Ballycastle. During today our Tour Director will share with us the location of a Hidden Treasure! Then to Bushmills, the world’s oldest whiskey distillery, before visiting Giants Causeway and onto Letterkenny. (Full Breakfast)

  • Day 5 - Londonderry / Derry sight­seeing We drive to Londonderry for a walking tour. A local guide takes us onto the city walls for fine views over this fine city. We also visit the Bogside – with memories of the recent conflicts, then we continue to the 17th century St. Columb''s Cathedral. Next we head to the Derry Craft Village and on to the quay where Irish emigrants sailed to the New World. Later, enjoy time at leisure perhaps to take an excursion to the Inishowen Peninsula. Later, we return to our hotel and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

     
  • Day 6 - Letterkenny – Belleek – Sligo (2 nights) Today we travel via Strabane and Omagh, where we visit the Ulster-American Folk Park en route to Lough Erne and Enniskillen. Then via the Belleek Pottery factory to our hotel. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 7 - Yeats Country & Donegal Excursion We visit W. B. Yeats country en route to Drumcliff. Then to Donegal and a scenic drive to Balleybofey and Glenties. Next to Ardara, famous for Aran sweaters and Donegal tweeds, then we return via Killybegs. (Full Breakfast)

     
  • Day 8 - Sligo – Dublin We follow the Shannon River to Lough Key and on to Boyle, seeing the Cistercian Abbey. Then back to Dublin via Longford and we enjoy a Farewell Dinner tonight. (Full Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)

  • London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It''s that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
  • Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
  • You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
  • Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
  • Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
  • Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. Gatwick Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-12.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by express train and coach. Transfers outside these times will be at the passengers own expense.
  • In the event of unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
  • No refund is available for passengers not utilising this service.
  • Why not upgrade to a Hotelink transfer from the Airport to-the-door of your Trafalgar London hotel? (please ask Trafalgar or your travel agent of the additional upgrade price per person when booking)
  • European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.
  • Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who book Trafalgar''s Land+Air package and who arrive or depart outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and departure day of the tour will also be provided with a transfer.
  • Passengers arriving before or leaving after the scheduled tour days are not entitled to a transfer but may book and purchase one through Trafalgar providing that they also purchase the additional pre and/or post tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar.   • Day 1- Depart USA Overnight flight to Dublin.

     
  • Day 2 - Arrive Dublin (2 nights) Welcome to the Emerald Isle! On arrival you are met at Dublin Airport and, at the specified times, you are transferred to your hotel. After check-in the afternoon is free to relax and unwind or to start to explore the city. This evening we will enjoy a Welcome Drink and tour briefing with our Tour Director and meet our fellow travelling companions.

  • Day 3 - Dublin – Belfast This morning our local guide brings to life Dublin’s grand architectural treasures and history stretching back more than 1,000 years, as we see St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Phoenix Park and the many elegant squares. We visit Trinity College and walk across the cobbled courtyards to its famed library and its truly unique world treasure, the 8th century Book of Kells. Then our Tour Director reveals the location of a Hidden Treasure of Dublin to us before we enjoy time at leisure. Tonight, why not join our travelling companions for an evening of Irish entertainment at a typical cabaret? (Full Breakfast)

     
  • Day 4 - Dublin – Blarney – Killarney (2 nights) After driving through the Curragh, the heart of Ireland’s equestrian country, we see the unforgettable Rock of Cashel, an impressive pre Christian settlement. The dramatic limestone rock crowned with secular and religious buildings dominates the flat countryside for miles around. We travel on to County Cork to visit Blarney Castle, where if you dare hang upside down from the ramparts and kiss the Blarney Stone you will be blessed ever afterwards with ‘ the gift of the gab’ ! Then there is time to shop at the Blarney Woollen Mills for Waterford crystal and other handicrafts before continuing on to bustling Killarney. The town on the lakes is famous for its lively pubs and open, cheerful atmosphere, full of what the Irish call ‘craic’ – Gaelic for fun! (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 5 - Killarney – Ring of Kerry excursion Today we experience Ireland’s most scenic coastal drive around the Iveragh Peninsula, better known as the ‘Ring of Kerry’, and County Kerry’s largest peninsula. It is undoubtedly on of the most magical and varied places in the whole of Ireland and is truly a photographer’s delight. On our journey we will see Killorglin set on Dingle Bay, which was the location for the film Ryan’s Daughter. We will also see Daniel O’Connell’s Cahirciveen, the fishing village of Waterville, the Black Valley and Molls’ Gap. Here mountains, valleys, lakes and sea blend into a landscape that is often breathtaking beyond words. Later, you may wish to take a ride in a quaint jaunting cart, and tonight why not enjoy some traditional Irish food and entertainment in one of the many local restaurants? (Full Breakfast)

     
  • Day 6 - Killarney – Cliffs of Moher – Limerick This morning we head north and cross the Shannon estuary by ferry and enter County Clare to visit the magnificent Cliffs of Moher.The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometres over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O''Brien''s Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South.The Cliffs are also home to one of the major colonies of cliff nesting seabirds in Ireland. Then in complete contrast we drive across the Burren, a stark and barren landscape dotted with rare flora. Then we head for Bunratty Castle and Folk Park where we see how the locals lived and worked in days gone by. Then on to our hotel where tonight we enjoy a Farewell Dinner with our Tour Director and fellow travellers. (Full Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)

  • Day 7 - Limerick – Shannon – USA This morning, bid farewell to your Tour Director and new found friends as we transfer you to Shannon’s International Airport for your return flight home to the USA. (Full Breakfast)
