  • Days 1 & 2 - Depart USA. We fly over the international date line on our way to Christchurch, New Zealand.
     
  • Day 3 - Arrive Christchurch. On arrival in Christchurch, you are transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is free. Tonight, enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with our Tour Director and fellow traveling companions. (Dinner)

  • Day 4 - Christchurch - TranzAlpine - Franz Josef This morning we will board the TranzAlpine train and enjoy stunning scenery traveling over the Southern Alps to Arthur''s Pass. This afternoon we travel to Greymouth and along the rugged West Coast to Punakaiki. Here we view the Pancake Rocks and blowholes before continuing to Franz Josef. Enjoy a short walk and views of the Franz Josef Glacier. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 5 - Franz Josef - Queenstown (2 nights) This morning there is a chance to join an optional scenic flight over the glaciers. Next relax as we drive along the coast with views of the Tasman Sea. Climb over the Haast Pass winding through Mount Aspiring National Park, passing Lakes Wanaka, Hawea and through Kawarau Gorge. Finally, we visit the historic village of Arrowtown, before continuing to Queenstown. (Buffet breakfast)

  • Day 6 - Queenstown at leisure A full day at leisure. Maybe take a jetboat trip. This evening, we join the vintage steamship T.S.S. Earnslaw and cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak sheep station. Here we enjoy some Kiwi hospitality and a carvery dinner. (Buffet breakfast / HIghlight Dinner)
     
  • Day 7 - Queenstown - Te Anau - Milford Sound An early start to Fiordland. We drive through the Homer Tunnel stopping at the Chasm, before arriving at Milford Sound. We cruise on this wonder of nature with Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls high above. Later, we head to Te Anau for the night. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 8 -Te Anau - Dunedin We cross South Otago country through the town of Gore to Balclutha. Then, we make our way to the ''Scottish city'' of Dunedin. Perhaps take an optional cruise this afternoon. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 9 - Dunedin - Mount Cook. Enjoy a guided tour at Larnach Castle, New Zealand''s only authentic castle, followed by a sightseeing tour of Dunedin. Next admire beautiful scenery as we follow the Waitaki River, past hydro-electric dams at Waitaki and Aviemore to Twizel for dinner and overnight stay. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 10 - Mount Cook - Christchurch After breakfast this morning we will travel past Mount Cook National Park, a world heritage site and home to New Zealand''s highest mountain. Perhaps take an optional scenic flight over Mount Cook. Later, we visit Lake Tekapo to view the Church of the Good Shepherd. Then over the plains of Canterbury to Christchurch. Discover the sights of the city on the Christchurch tram. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 11 - Christchurch - Blenheim Travel along the rugged coast to Kaikoura where you have the opportunity to enjoy an optional whale watching flight.   • Day 12 - Blenheim - Cook Strait Cruise - Wellington. Here there''s a short sightseeing tour before a visit to Te Papa National Museum, with time to explore the many interactive displays depicting Maori and modern New Zealand culture.   • Day 5 - Auckland – Rotorua Today we travel into the Waikato region and visit the incredible Waitomo Glow Worm Grotto on a guided boat tour. Then continue on to Rotorua where we visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to view New Zealand''s biggest geyser, bubbling mud pools and thermal springs. There is the opportunity to go snorkeling and view this natural living wonder up close (equipment provided).   • Days 1 & 2 - Depart USA We fly over the international date line on our way ''Downunder'' to Melbourne, Australia.
     
  • Day 3 - Arrive Melbourne (3 nights) On arrival at Melbourne Airport you are transferred to your hotel. After check-in the rest of the day is free to relax or explore before a welcome drink with our Tour Director.

  • Day 4 - Melbourne sightseeing & at leisure Morning sightseeing shows us the Royal Botanic Gardens, Parliament House, the Shrine of Remembrance and more. Later enjoy time at leisure. (Buffet Breakfast)
     
  • Day 5 - Melbourne at leisure A full day at leisure to perhaps see the magnificent rock formations of the Twelve Apostles along the Great Ocean Road or ride the ''Puffing Billy'' steam train. Or travel back in time to the gold rush days to pan for gold at Sovereign Hill. (Buffet Breakfast)
     
  • Day 6 - Melbourne – Alice Springs We board our morning flight to Alice Springs (flights to arrive prior to 1.00pm). On arrival a guided tour shows us the original waterhole, ''The Alice Springs'', at the historic Telegraph Station. We also visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service and School of the Air. Later, on to Anzac Hill Lookout. Tonight, why not sample crocodile or emu in one of The Alice''s fine restaurants? (Breakfast)

  • Day 7 - Alice Springs – Uluru (Ayers Rock) (2 nights) We depart early for Ayers Rock, stopping at a camel farm where you can try your hand riding ''a ship of the desert''. This afternoon is at leisure. This evening savor a complimentary glass of wine while watching the sunset at Uluru (Ayers Rock) from the viewing area known as the ''sunset strip''. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 8 - Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) We rise early to view sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock). Tour the caves at the base of Uluru and hear stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime. Later, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. In the afternoon we travel through the desert plains to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Take a walk through Walpa Gorge and gaze down the central valley of Kata Tjuta. Finally after a spectacular sunset with sparkling wine at Kata Tjuta, we will enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner.   • Day 9 - Ayers Rock – Cairns (3 nights) This morning is at leisure before our flight to Queensland and the holiday resort of Cairns. This afternoon spend time at the Cairns Wildlife Dome where you’ll encounter unique Australian animals. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 10 - Great Barrier Reef Today we join the Great Adventures catamaran for the most unforgettable day on the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy an informative reef education presentation.   • Day 20 - Franz Josef – Queenstown (2 nights)
    Today we enjoy a coastal drive as our journey takes us south passing Lake Wanaka, Lake Hawea and through Kawarau Gorge. Then we visit Arrowtown, before we arrive in Queenstown. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 9 - Flinders Ranges - Port Augusta After breakfast, enjoy a free morning with time to explore Wilpena Pound.   • Day 10 - Port Augusta - Coober Pedy Today we stop to visit Woomera, established in 1947 as an experimental rocket launching site. Then we continue our drive to Coober Pedy.   • Day 11 - Coober Pedy - Ayers Rock (2 nights) This morning we cross the Erldunda and Mount Ebenezer cattle stations as we make our way to Ayers Rock Resort. This evening, enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles as we watch a spectacular sunset at Uluru (Ayers Rock). (Buffet breakfast)

  • Day 16 - Alice Springs - Tennant Creek We travel north across the Tropic of Capricorn and see the Devils Marbles, enormous round boulders rising from the plain. Then we continue on to the gold mining town of Tennant Creek for a guided mine tour followed by a barbecue dinner. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 17 - Mataranka Thermal Springs - Katherine Today we visit historic Daly Waters, before entering the ''Never Never'' country of the Northern Territory. Next, we stop at the beautiful Mataranka Thermal Springs with time for a swim. Finally, a late afternoon arrival at Katherine. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 18 - Katherine Gorge Cruise - Kakadu Our day begins with an early morning cruise through Katherine Gorge. Then from here we continue our journey deep into Kakadu National Park where we join the famous Yellow Water Billabong cruise.   • Day 19 - Kakadu - Darwin (2 nights) This morning we visit the Ubirr rock art site. Here there''s a chance to take an optional scenic flight over the Arnhem Land Escarpment.
