Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to Copenhagen.
Day 2 - Arrive Copenhagen (2 nights) On arrival at Copenhagen airport you are met and transferred to your hotel. After check-in there''s time to relax, unwind and perhaps explore Scandinavia''s liveliest city. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions. (Welcome Dinner)

Day 3 - Copenhagen sightseeing & at leisure Our morning sightseeing tour includes a walking tour through the area around the Amalienborg Palace – an elegant quarter of 18th century buildings. Then we will walk through the historic centre seeing the 17th century Stock Exchange, the Christiansborg Palace, the Neo-Classical Cathedral and the 19th century Theatre Royal – former home of the Opera. Guarding the harbour we''ll see the Little Mermaid – the statue inspired by Hans Christian Andersen''s sad fairytale. Our Tour Director will also show us a Hidden Treasure of the city. Later maybe visit the Tivoli Gardens and enjoy a traditional Danish dinner? (Scandinavian Breakfast)
Day 4 - Copenhagen – Odense – Aalborg After breakfast this morning we head west, and cross the bridge to the Island of Funen and the town of Odense, Hans Christian Anderson''s birthplace. From here, we will cross to the Jutland Peninsula en route to Aalborg, a charming mixture of old and new, for dinner and overnight stay. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 - Aalborg – Stavanger An early start as we head to Hirsthals where we board our ship to cross the Skagerrak to the port of Kristiansand in Norway. Day 6 - Stavanger – Bergen (2 night) After breakfast we enjoy an amazing journey today as we island-hop from Stavanger to the "Capital of the Fjords" Bergen. Day 8 - Bergen – Flam Railway - Sognefjord (Leikanger) (2 nights) This morning we travel to the ski resort of Voss where we take a train for a journey that will take us 3,000 feet above sea level. Time at the top to admire the scenery before taking the famous Flam railway – one of the most exciting railway journeys in the world! We will enjoy spectacular views of mountains and waterfalls before cruising across the deep and magnificent waters of Sognefjord to our hotel in Leikanger.(Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 9 - Sognefjord (Leikanger) – Geiranger After breakfast, this morning''s drive will take us along the spectacular Sognefjord. We continue onwards through breathtaking Glacier country. Day 11 - Geiranger – Lom – Lillehammer Today the breathtaking views continue as we drive out of Geiranger. Then along Ottadalen we stop to visit the traditional Stave Church at Lom. From here we continue through the Gudbrandsdal Valley, inspiration for Ibsen''s ''Peer Gynt'', to the home of the 1994 Winter Olympics – Lillehammer, where we spend the night. Day 12 - Lillehammer – Hamar – Oslo Our first stop this morning is at lakeside Hamar. Here we view the unusual ice rink built for the Olympics, before making our way to Norway''s capital, Oslo. On our arrival a guided sightseeing tour highlights the Old Cathedral, the Royal Palace and a visit to the Vigeland Sculpture Park. After the rest of your day is at leisure. Day 13 - Oslo – Stockholm (2 nights) Today we travel across the border into Sweden. Day 14 - Stockholm sightseeing & at leisure The charms of this city are revealed on our morning sightseeing tour with a local guide. We''ll see the medieval Storkyrkan, Riddarholm church, the Royal Palace, plus a visit to the waterside City Hall, where the Nobel prize banquets are held. Later, there''s time at leisure to browse through the fashionable stores or perhaps to visit the Skansen Folklore Museum, the choice is all yours. This evening is at leisure. (Scandinavian Breakfast)
Day 15 - Stockholm – Copenhagen This morning we head towards Lake Vättern and the resort town of Gränna with its old wooden houses and the ruins of Brahehus Castle. From here we continue through meadows and forests to the coast where we cross the Oresund and are soon back in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, for the final night of our tour. Day 3 & 4 - St. Petersburg sightseeing and at leisure Featured on our sightseeing tour this morning are the Tsar''s Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac''s Cathedral, the statue of Peter the Great and a visit of the Peter and Paul fortress. During our time in St. Petersburg we will also enjoy an included visit to the Hermitage Museum to visit one of the world''s largest and most valuable art collections. On one of our free evenings maybe visit a theatre for a Russian folklore show? On our last evening we’ll enjoy an included dinner with complimentary champagne. Day 5 - St. Petersburg – Helsinki Sightseeing This morning we take an early train for our journey out of Russia, through the forests of Karelia to the Finnish border and on to the capital, Helsinki. Our sightseeing on arrival shows us Finlandia Hall, the Senate and Market squares, broad boulevards and the domed Russian church. This evening maybe try some of the local cuisine?(Buffet Breakfast )

Day 6 - Helsinki at leisure – At Sea A day at leisure to relax , shop or explore the city further. Later we will board our Silja Line ship for an overnight mini-cruise from Finland to Sweden. (Scandinavian Breakfast/ Dinner)
Days 7 - At Sea – Stockholm (2 nights) An early morning arrival in Stockholm, Sweden''s capital. Here a guided sightseeing tour features the Royal Palace and a visit to the City Hall, where the Nobel Prize is awarded. Then there''s time on your own to wander through the old town or do some window-shopping. Tonight, perhaps enjoy a candlelit dinner on the island of Djurgården.(Scandinavian Breakfast)

Days 8 - Stockholm walking tour and at leisure Today we will enjoy an exciting walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town. Our local guide will take you through Stortorget (Main Square), and will tell you about the Stockholm blood bath of 1520, as well as the legend of St. George and the Dragon. Afterwards we’ll stroll through the city''s oldest quarter,where our Tour Director will show us one of the city’s Hidden Treasures and there is still time to visit the Wasa ship (Scandinavian Breakfast)
Day 9 - Stockholm – Oslo (2 nights) Today we leave the 14 islands of Sweden’s capital and travel past the city of Orebro to continue via Karlstad on Lake Vänern, and across the border and on to the capital, Oslo, maybe sample the traditional cuisine at a restaurant tonight?(Scandinavian Breakfast)

Day 10 - Oslo sightseeing and at leisure An in-depth sightseeing tour with a local guide today, includes the spacious main square containing the Old Cathedral and the Royal Palace as well as a visit to the Frogner Park with its Vigeland sculptures. Later you will have the opportunity to perhaps visit the Holmenkollen ski jump, the Viking ships and the Kon-Tiki raft. You will also have time to shop for wonderful items in silverware and chunky Norwegian sweaters. (Scandinavian Breakfast)
Day 11 - Oslo – Gothenburg – Copenhagen (2 nights) Today a pleasant drive along the Skagerrak coastline takes us away from Oslo and into Sweden where we stop to visit Sweden’s second-largest city, Gothenburg. Enjoy an orientation tour with our Tour Director showing us the botanical gardens, beautiful parks and pristine canals. Then on to Helsingborg to board our ferry across to Denmark and to ‘wonderful Copenhagen’ for our two night stay. (Scandinavian Breakfast)

Airport Transfers
Airport Transfers Group transfers on arrival at St. Petersburg Airport will operate at 11.30, 14.30 and 17.00. Return transfers from the last hotel will arrive at Moscow Sheremetyeno Airport at 05.00 and 11.00 and at Moscow Domodedevo Airport at 05.00 and 13.00.

London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It''s that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:

Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. Gatwick Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-12.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Itinerary

DAY 1- Depart USA Overnight flight to St Petersburg.
Day 2 - St. Petersburg (3 nights) On arrival in St Petersburg you are transferred to your hotel. Then time to relax and unwind before meeting our Tour Director and fellow travellers tonight for a Welcome Drink before dinner in the hotel. (Dinner)

Hotel: Sokos Olympic Gardens (3 nights)
Days 3 & 4 - St. Petersburg sightseeing and at leisure This morning our sightseeing tour features the Tsar’s Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac''s Cathedral, the statue of Peter the Great and a visit of the Peter and Paul fortress. During our time in St. Petersburg we will also enjoy an included visit to the Hermitage Museum to visit one of the world''s largest and most valuable art collections. On one of our free evenings maybe visit a theatre for a Russian folklore show?(Buffet Breakfast)(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 5 - St. Petersburg – Novgorod This morning our journey takes us over the vast Russian plains to ancient Novgorod. On our arrival an orientation tour shows us the Kremlin Fort and grounds, Millennium monument and the St. Sophia Cathedral. Dinner is included at our hotel tonight. (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner)

Day 6 - Novgorod – Tver – Moscow (3 nights) This morning after breakfast a scenic drive will bring us to the picturesque village of Tver, where we will enjoy an included lunch. Then we continue to Klin, once home of Tchaikovsky, before arriving in Moscow for the first night of our three night stay. After an included dinner you may wish to enjoy a thrilling night out at the Moscow State Circus! (Buffet Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

Day 7 & 8 - Moscow sightseeing and at leisure On our first day we will enjoy a guided sightseeing tour which shows us Red Square, St. Basil''s domed Cathedral and the Kremlin Walls. Later, enjoy time on your own to shop or further explore before returning to your hotel. Perhaps in your free time take an excursion to Zagorsk – a centre of ancient Russian art and architecture. During our stay in Moscow our Tour Director will show us a Hidden Treasure of this intriguing city. Itinerary

Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to Oslo.
Day 2 - Arrive Oslo (2 nights) You are met and transferred to your hotel. Later, enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and meet your fellow travellers.

Day 3 - Oslo sightseeing & at leisure Our guided sightseeing tour features the main sights. Then, we enjoy a highlight visit to Frogner Park, home of Gustav Vigeland''s sculptures. Our Tour Director will also show us a Hidden Treasure of the city during our stay! (Scandinavian Breakfast)
Day 4 - Oslo – Geilo – Oystese We travel along the shores of the Tyrifjord to the ski resort of Geilo. An impressive drive takes us across the vast wilderness of the Hardanger Plateau to the Voeringfoss. Then we start our descent to the Queen of Fjords, Hardanger. A cruise across the fjord takes us to our hotel in Oystese for dinner and overnight. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 - Oystese – Bergen Through mountain resorts and awesome landscapes to the Capital of Fjords, Bergen. Orientation shows us the 13th century Haakons Hall and the Fish Market. The rest of the day is free to explore. (Scandinavian Breakfast )

Hotel: Radisson SAS Norge
Day 6 - Bergen – Voss – Sognefjord – Geiranger (2 nights) We stop in the resort of Voss before continuing to the King of Fjords, Sognefjord. We drive along the shores of the fjord before climbing up into spectacular mountain scenery to see the Boeya Glacier, then we continue to the renowned Geiranger Fjord and our hotel for the next two nights. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7 - Geiranger at leisure A full day to enjoy and relax in this fjord gem, renowned for its beauty and unforgettable views. Later , perhaps consider an excursion to Trollstigen – the Troll’s ladder, or walk along marked trails through an incomparable landscape! (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8 - Geiranger – Lom – Lillehammer On our drive this morning we marvel at the breathtaking views from the Dalsnibba Pass, en route to visit a traditional Stave Church at Lom. Then, through the Gudbrandsdal Valley, as we make our way to the home of the 1994 Winter Olympics – Lillehammer. Tonight, dinner is at the hotel. (Scandinavian Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 9 - Lillehammer – Hamar – Oslo After breakfast our first stop will be at lakeside Hamar on the shores of Lake Mjøsa. Here we view the unusual ice rink built for the Olympics, before driving to Eidsvoll to see where Norway''s leading citizens drafted their liberal constitution. From here it''s back to Oslo. On our arrival there is time at leisure to explore or shop for some last minute souvenirs. This evening we get together with our Tour Director and new found friends for a festive Farewell Dinner.
