Airport Transfers
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Transfer will be provided on Day 2 and Madrid Airport Transfer will be provided on Day 17.

  • Day 2 - Arrive Paris (2 nights) On arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport you''re met and transferred to your hotel. Time to relax before meeting our Tour Director for a Welcome Drink.

  • Day 3 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure Today''s sightseeing tour includes views of the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde and Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cite. We also ascend to the second level of the Eiffel Tower for awe inspiring views over the whole city and then have time at leisure to relax or explore. This evening, why not enjoy dinner in Montmartre or go out on the town and enjoy a Cabaret show? (Buffet Breakfast)

     
  • Day 4 - Paris – Champagne – Luxembourg Today we travel east to visit a Champagne cellar where we ride on a small railway to see how this delicious wine is made! We cross the World War I Battlefields to arrive in Luxembourg where our orientation tour shows us the Cathedral of Our Lady, the Grand Ducal Palace and General Patton’s grave.

  • Day 5 - Luxembourg – Baccarat – Alsace wine country – Engelberg (2 nights) We drive south into France and the Alsatian town of Nancy. Then we climb to Baccarat in the Vosges mountains, renowned for its crystal glass, and on to the charming wine village of Riquewihr. Finally via Colmar we enter Switzerland at Basel on the Rhine and continue on to Engelberg, the pretty ski resort.

  • Day 6 - Lucerne Sightseeing and at leisure This morning an orientation tour of this medieval city shows us the Kappelbrucke, the wooden Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and of course the famous Lion Monument. Then free time to perhaps take a trip up a nearby mountain for splendid views and enjoy a Swiss folklore show. (Buffet Breakfast)

     
  • Day 7 - Engelberg – Liechtenstein – Innsbruck First to Vaduz , the capital of tiny Liechtenstein, with time to shop for collectors’ stamps. Then to Austria, through the Aarlberg region to Innsbruck, the Tyrolean capital. Orientation shows us the Olympic ski-jump, the Wilten Basilica, the Golden Roof and our Tour Director shows us a Hidden Treasure!

  • Day 8 - Innsbruck – Venice (Lido) Over the Brenner Pass to the Italian border and on to magical Venice. Enjoy an excellent introduction by private launch as we cruise along the Giudecca Canal to see St. Mark''s Basilica, the Doges'' Palace and Bridge of Sighs. Then we witness a demonstration of the ancient craft of glass-blowing before time at leisure. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 9 - Venice (Main.) – Florence – Rome (2 nights) Today''s scenic drive takes us along the Autostrada del Sole and over the Apennine Mountains into Tuscany, where we stop in Florence for a walking tour with a local guide using our effective audio system and highlighting the Piazza Signoria and Duomo .Later, we continue through the Umbrian countryside to Rome, the ''Eternal City'', for two nights.   • Day 4 - London – Amsterdam A warm welcome from our Tour Director as we drive towards the coast. Time to admire the White Cliffs of Dover before our Channel crossing to Calais in France. Then by coach we travel via Belgium to friendly Amsterdam. On our arrival, we visit a diamond-polishing factory (opening times permitting) before enjoying a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director before boarding our glass-topped boat for a canal cruise – the perfect introduction to the city!

  • Day 5 - Amsterdam – Rhine Cruise – Rhineland (Mannheim) Morning orientation in Amsterdam includes Dam Square and the Tower of Tears. Later, we drive past Arnhem into Germany stopping in Cologne to see its gothic Cathedral. Then after passing Bonn, we embark on a relaxing Rhine cruise past castles and vineyards. We disembark in St. Goar with views of the Lorelei Rock before reaching our Rhineland hotel for the night. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 6 - Rhineland (Mannheim) – Munich – Innsbruck Today we cross the Swabian Uplands to Bavarian Munich.   • London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It''s that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
  • Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
  • You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
  • Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
  • Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
  • Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. From here we drive through Belgian countryside to Brussels where an orientation includes the Atomium and Royal Palaces and we enjoy a walking tour of the Grand Place and see the Mannekin Pis. Later we enjoy a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director and fellow travellers. (Continental Breakfast)

  • Day 5 - Brussels – Rhine Cruise – Heidelberg – Rhineland (Ettlingen) Our day starts in Cologne to see its Cathedral. Then via Bonn to Boppard to embark on a Rhine cruise. We disembark at St. Goar and drive to Heidelberg. Here we walk to the castle terraces where we admire the view over the baroque city and then we continue to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6 - Rhineland (Karlsruhe) – Munich – Innsbruck Today we cross the Swabian Uplands into Bavarian Munich.   • Day 7 - Innsbruck – Venice (Mestre) (2 nights) Today a spiralling drive takes us to the Brenner Pass into Italy. Then via Brunico we drive into the Dolomite Mountains. We''ll view the Olympic ski-jump at Cortina d''Ampezzo, with time for lunch. Afterwards we continue to magical Venice for the next two nights. This evening a gondola ride would be hard to resist! From here we continue our journey arriving at our hotel in jet-set Nice, for the next two nights. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 14 - Nice – Lake Maggiore – Zermatt Today we travel back into Italy and in the direction of Alessandria and Novara. Soon we are in the Italian Lakes and driving along Lake Maggiore. We stop at elegant Stresa opposite the picturesque Borromean islands. Then we drive up into the foothills of the Alps climbing towards Switzerland and the Simplon Pass. At the small village of Tasch we disembark from our coach where we will take electric mini-buses to Zermatt overlooked by the mighty Matterhorn. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 15 - Zermatt – Geneva Our Tour Director shows us around this Alpine resort and reveals to us another Hidden Treasure! Then maybe take an excursion to the ‘Kleine Matterhorn’ before we drive along the Rhône Valley to Lake Geneva where the Chateau de Chillon stands , so chillingly evoked by Byron’s poetry. We drive around the lake to the city of Geneva where we see the United Nations Headquarters, the Jet d’Eau and the Reformation Monument. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
