Next, a short "familiarization" talk with your tour escort to
fill you in on your coming adventures and answer any questions
you may have.
After this morning's get-together, we visit Pearl Harbor - one
of the most memorable places in our history. Relive the "day
that would live in infamy", December 7, 1941! Few Americans who
set foot on the Arizona Memorial can avoid a few goose bumps...
We continue on to the historic Punchbowl National Cemetery of
the Pacific followed by a panoramic sightseeing tour of downtown
Honolulu.
2005 Tours:
Tonight, individual reservations will have been made for you at
the "Society of Seven" cocktail and buffet dinner show OR

Morning at Leisure

Day 4
Cities Visited: Maui Maui /
Thursday
After breakfast we jet to Maui, the "Valley Island".
As early as 750, Polynesians from the Marquesas sailed the vast
uncharted Pacific in double-hulled sailing canoes in their
migration to Maui. With family, animals and plants they set up
housekeeping. For centuries, they lived in grass houses and
stone "heiaus" (or temples), made tapa cloth and outrigger
canoes, fished and ground the root of the taro plant into poi.
Their simple life ended when Captain James Cook discovered "Mowee"
on November 26, 1778 sailing southward from Alaska. In Cook's
wake came traders, missionaries and whalers. At the height of
the whaling area (1840 to 1865), Lahaina Town served as the
anchorage for more than 500 ships!
We visit Iao Valley to view the famous lao needle, then to
Lahaina, the once bustling whaler's town. This quaint place
seems to resist change, holding fast to its historic past. And
that is very good. Our AAA Diamond award winning resort is
located on the world famous Ka'anapali Beach.
This evening, a great à la carte dinner awaits you.
Dress is casual
Day 5
Cities Visited: Maui Maui
/ Friday
A day of fascinating exploration. Its focal point, the 10,023
foot summit of giant Mount Haleakala. The now sleeping volcano
that gave birth to the island of Maui, Haleakala - the "House of
the Sun" - is a mile deep. And her crater alone stretches 7
miles across. She's majestic and truly awesome!
2005 tours:
Tonight... another delightful à la carte dinner to be enjoyed
with complimentary wine or soft drinks.
Day 6
Cities Visited: Maui Maui
/ Saturday
Today and tomorrow... Two days at leisure...
Your own private vacation to do as you please! Relax and enjoy
your personal paradise!
2005 tours:
Your hotel is a paradise unto itself - with its lush gardens,
free-form swimming pool with waterfalls, a swim-up bar... and
plenty of lounge chairs to just catch the sun.
Or enjoy an in-depth visit to Lahaina Town. Once the
capital of Hawaii, Lahaina was the largest whaling port of the
Pacific during the 1800s. Today, it's a national historic
district with restored buildings, museums, missionary homes and
a replica of a 19th century whaling ship - not to mention a
myriad selection of fun places to see, eat and shop along this
historic waterfront. Your tour guide will be delighted to help
make this your best vacation ever.
Day 7
Cities Visited: Maui Maui
/ Sunday
We have a full day of relaxation to enjoy the moment.
It must be said here that our hotel, overlooking the ocean, sits
on a site that may be among the world's most entrancing spots.
Many say that Ka'anapali Beach is the longest and broadest
expanse of beach anywhere in the world.

Tonight... the perfect Hawaiian farewell. The "Drums of the
Pacific" Luau... It's the hottest show on the island. Our luau
takes you on a journey through the islands of Polynesia. Witness
the authentic dances and music of Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand,
Tahiti and Hawaii.
Enjoy an open bar and an all-you-can-eat traditional luau buffet
featuring a superb combination of Hawaiian specialties complete
