per day plus airfare, depending on the itinerary and time of year.

You won't be surprised with any hidden charges when you check out of your Globus  hotel. All hotel taxes and tips for restaurant service and baggage handling are included  in the price of your tour.

• Dining Information
  Breakfast habits vary in different parts of Europe. Globus features the continental breakfast; the norm for many tour companies; only in London. It consists of a glass of fruit juice, coffee, tea, milk, breakfast rolls, butter, & preserves. Elsewhere our minimum standard is the European-style buffet breakfast. It includes all  the ingredients of the continental breakfast, plus other choices, such as whole-grain  bread, croissants, cereals, fruit, yogurt, cheese, and cold cuts. Wherever possible Globus provides a full cooked breakfast. For now this is the case in Britain (except London), Ireland, Scandinavia, Russia, Israel, and on our cruises.
  The hotels serve three-course dinners that appeal to overseas visitors. The meals are carefully planned to avoid the repetition of entrees. Wherever possible, we include local favorites that we know you'll enjoy. Tea and coffee are served after your dinners for a perfect finish.

• Sightseeing Information
  Globus tours feature all the essential sightseeing plus many highlights that either are unavailable or cost extra on other operators' tours. Of course, we also take care to leave enough free time for the less energetic to rest and the independently minded to explore on their own. The ideal balance between included sightseeing and leisure time! In major cities and places of historical interest, resident experts offer perspectives and insights that complement you tour director's commentary. Your free time is not time off for your Globus tour director. He or she is always on hand with suggestions on how to make the most of every minute of your vacation. 
  
  
• Optional Excursions 
  Optional activities during free time can be booked through your tour director or city host.
  Our prices are consistently lower than what you would pay on your own or with another tour company. You can easily verify this during your tour by talking to people who aren't traveling with Globus. • Motorcoach Information

Our custom of daily seat rotation gives everyone a variety of vantage points to see the passing countryside and city scenes. Each Globus touring vehicle has upholstered, reclining seats with headrests and individual air vents. A high-fidelity sound system broadcasts your tour director's commentary to every seat. We carefully monitor advances in automotive engineering and insist that our motorcoaches feature the most up-to-date equipment for your safety and comfort. Each motorcoach on the Continent, where traveling distances tend to be somewhat longer than in the British Isles, is equipped with an emergency washroom. We deliberately use the term "emergency washroom," because this facility is not meant to be used regularly in lieu of the rest rooms at our frequent comfort stops. No smoking on Globus coaches. Experienced, professional drivers. Air-conditioning everywhere while touring.
  

• Limited Group Size
  The length and width of modern touring coaches is standard, prescribed by law. The
  difference among tour operators is in the number of seats installed and actually sold.
  While it is customary to install and sell 53 seats, Globus installs four fewer seats for
  extra leg room, and limits group size to a maximum of 46 tour members. The extra space contributes enormously to your comfort. For airport and port transfers in Britain 
  we generally use motorcoaches with 53 seats.

  The location and quality of your hotel is one of the most important aspects of any tour. When you finally visit the cities you're dreamed about, you'll want to be located right where the action is. You'll want to be close to the best shops, the famous sights, the galleries and the nightlife. Close enough to be able to slip into your hotel to freshen up during the day or have a brief rest before going out in the evening. Close enough to do the things you want to on your vacation. All Insight hotels are exclusively First Class and Superior First Class. It's important to know that European hotels are not the same as hotels here in the US. Keep in mind that single rooms are often smaller than in the USA, and that a third bed in a room may be a "rollaway" bed. 
  
  

• Tired & Travel Weary: Your Hotel Check-In
  Hotels are aware that their guests traveling from the USA are tired and weary, That is why they make every effort to have you settled in your room as soon as possible. However, in London and other major cities where occupancy rates are high, checkout time is at 1:00pm. Therefore, your room may net be ready when you arrive. Rest assured that the hotel will do everything it can to get you in as soon as possible.
  
  

• Hotel Meals
  Breakfast is included in your tour to start each day, and a three course dinner most nights with a choice of menu. Tea or coffee is also featured. Additionally, a local specialty dish is featured in each country visited. To see what is offered on a particular vacation, check your itinerary under meals.
