They do not all offer family itineraries but they all children on some of their tours.

Budget Tour Companies & their family discounts
The budget tour is best suited to the traveler who wishes to have a good basic introduction to travel in Europe but who also wishes to have option of selecting some of the sights to see while traveling. A budget tour will include basic sightseeing, some meals and hotels which are Tourist or Superior Tourist class, with rooms that offer private baths.

Please note that hotels in Europe are normally smaller than U.S. hotels. Hotel locations will not always be in the center of the major cities you will be seeing.  Buses normally carry over 55 passengers on sold out tours. There is no wash room on-board the busses, but the tour makes frequent stops.

Budget tours appeal to all age ranges and are a great way for single travelers who are willing to share a room to not have to pay a single supplement. These tours allow you to see the real Europe for a down to earth price. The itineraries are similar to, but do not come in the extensive variety that the first class tours come in.

Cosmos tours: Cosmos tours offer value-packed vacations at bargain prices. Cosmos offers travel to Europe, Continental USA, Hawaii, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, the Orient and India. A typical Cosmos tour costs $50 to $80 per day per person plus airfare, depending on the itinerary and time of year.

Children must be at least 8 years old to travel on their tours. Anyone less the 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Receive a 10% discount off the land only portion for the children. Discount cannot be combined with any other discount. Certain  exclusions apply. There is no age limit on independent tours.

Trafalgar's Tours Cost Saver: Trafalgar offers a choice of 37 affordable vacations to Europe. Trafalgar includes a lot of "extras" to make sure you get the best value for your money. A typical Trafalgar cost saver tour costs $75 to $95 per day per person plus airfare, depending on the itinerary and time of year.

Children under 5 years of age are ineligible. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The Young traveler must be the specified age at the time of travel to be eligible for the 10% discount and is limited to one young traveler discount per room.
 

Insight High Value Tours: If you are looking for the best value in a budget tour of Europe you don't have to look any further. With Insight high value tours you'll discover extraordinary value along with the treasures of Europe, Britain and the Eastern Mediterranean. A typical Insight high value tour costs $75 to $95 per day per person plus airfare, depending on the itinerary and time of year.

Children under 5 years of age are ineligible. For a fill paying adult, sharing a twin room with a young traveler, the latter receives a 5% discount (5-17) .A child aged 5-11 years sharing a triple room with two adults will receive a 25% reduction off the Land Only tour and price and the two adults pay the triple rate.

First Class Tour Companies & their family discounts
The first class tour is best suited to the traveler who wishes to have more of the activities preplanned and prepaid and includes more meals in the tour cost. The host hotels for the first class tours will have more features and be more similar to U.S.-style lodging.

These tours still allow for free time to explore on your own but allow the semi-adventurous traveler to see a great deal of Europe. In many of the cities your regular tour guide will be joined by a local guide who will bring the specialized knowledge that only a local can have.


Quite often the first class tours include two night stays at many locations to allow for maximum time in the location. Hotel accommodations are always first class.  The busses feature less passengers than the budget tours, to provide more comfort for the traveler. Washroom facilities are located on the busses. First class tours include more meals, normally providing buffet breakfast daily and  3 course dinners on selected nights.

Globus tours: Globus offers first-class coach escorted tours at reasonable prices and features excellent first-class hotels and fabulous sightseeing! Globus offers first class tours of Europe, the Continental USA and Hawaii, Canada, Africa, the Orient and China, Australia and New Zealand plus Central and South America. A typical Globus tour costs $90 - $150 per person per day plus airfare, depending on the itinerary and time of year.

Insight Tours: Insight has been offering Superior First Class Escorted Touring Vacations to Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean Since 1982. For those that have traveled to Europe before, you may want to experience one of Insight's Europe tours along the country roads to visit these countries more in depth. 
 

Children under 5 years of age are ineligible. Save up to $2454 per family. A child aged 5-11 years sharing a triple room with two adults will receive a 25% reduction off the Land Only tour and price and the two adults pay the triple rate. For a fill paying adult, sharing a twin room with a young traveler, the latter receives a 5% discount (5-17) .
 

Deluxe Tour Operators

The deluxe tours offer the discerning traveler the opportunity to partake of an escorted tour that is not your usual tour. Deluxe tours offer smaller, quaint lodging that has modern features, including most if not all meals at fine restaurants. Deluxe tours offer inclusive sightseeing and features that are not available on the first class tour. 

These tours include entertainment such as folklore shows, concerts & special events, no need for tipping and a good balance of unscheduled leisure time. These tours feature the concept of "lifeseeing," which focuses on the lifestyles and culture of Europe.

Children between the ages of 8 to 11 sharing a room with two adults and existing bedding will enjoy a discounted rate. Unfortunately children under the age of 8 cannot participate in this program.
