Mon. LONDON-BRUSSELS, BELGIUM. Leave in the early morning and head through the lush English countryside to the Channel port, where you board your ferry for the Continent. Here your Tour Director and comfortable coach wait to take you to Brussels for an overnight. (B)

Day 5:
Tue. BRUSSELS-RHINE CRUISE-FRANKFURT AREA, GERMANY. Today journey into Germany to the shores of the mighty Rhine to enjoy the afternoon cruise. Then, on to the Frankfurt area for an overnight. (B,D)

Day 6:
Wed. FRANKFURT AREA-ROMANTIC ROAD-INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA. The “Romantic Road” is undoubtedly today’s highlight. See picturesque Rothenburg before heading towards Innsbruck for an overnight. (B,D)

Day 7:
Thu. INNSBRUCK-BRENNER PASS-VENICE AREA, ITALY. Journey south into Italy by way of the majestic “Europa Bridge” and Brenner Pass. Arrive in Venice where the included tour with a Local Guide starts with a boat ride along the Giudecca Canal to Piazza San Marco, followed by the main city highlights. Also visit a typical Venetian glassblowing workshop. (B,D)

Day 8:
Fri. VENICE AREA-LAKE LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND. Stop in Verona to see the Juliet''s legendary balcony. Over the Swiss border begin the climb to the St. Gotthard Tunnel and descend to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Lucerne. (B,D)

Day 9:
Sat. LAKE LUCERNE-DOLE, FRANCE. Your visit this morning focuses on the main highlights of Lucerne. Also time for an optional excursion to the Stanserhorn. In the afternoon journey into France for an overnight in the charming town of Dole. (B,D)

Day 6:
Tue. BLACK FOREST-LAKE TITISEE-RHINE FALLS-LIECHTENSTEIN-LAKE LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND. Today’s itinerary is studded with quite a few highlights. Travel into the heart of the Black Forest for a stop to admire the small but lovely Lake Titisee. Further south into Switzerland to see the mighty Rhine Falls. Next, eastwards into the tiny but hugely wealthy Principality of Liechtenstein for a stop in its capital, Vaduz. By evening you’ll be in the Lake Lucerne area for two overnights. (B,D)

Day 7:
Wed. LUCERNE. Your visit takes in the impressive city walls, a covered wooden bridge, ornate patrician houses lining cobblestone streets, and the Lion Monument. Don’t miss the boat trip on the fjord-like lake. A grand selection of optional activities completes the day: a cable car ride to the 10,000-foot summit of Mount Titlis, a typical folklore evening, and, of course, time to shop for that very Swiss watch. Day 8:
Thu. LAKE LUCERNE-INTERLAKEN-LAUSANNE. Start the day by driving over the scenic Brünig Pass to Brienz and its sparkling lake. After some sightseeing in beautiful Interlaken, continue to Gruyère for a stop. On to Lake Geneva for a guided visit of Chillon Castle right on its shores. Overnight in Lausanne. (B,D)

Day 9:
Fri. LAUSANNE-PARIS, FRANCE. Travel through Burgundy to pretty Beaune. Then on the expressway northwards to Paris. Tonight’s optional cabaret show is a must. (B)

Day 10:
Sat. PARIS. Included sightseeing with a local expert of many of the best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Madeleine, the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramid near the Louvre, the Invalides, and Champs Elysées. Day 5:
Sun. AMSTERDAM. Today watch the cutting and polishing of precious stones at a diamond center in Amsterdam. Then sightseeing with a Local Guide pointing out the city highlights, and finally a canal cruise to see the town from water level. (B)

Day 6:
Mon. AMSTERDAM AREA-RHINELAND, GERMANY. Another morning in Amsterdam to do as you please. Later, travel southwards into the lovely landscape of the Rhine where you overnight. (B,D)

Tue. RHINE CRUISE-LAKE LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND. Start the day with an included Rhine steamer cruise with some legendary sights, including the Lorelei Rock. Wed. LUCERNE. One of Switzerland’s finest cities nestled amid its snow-capped Alps, surrounded by its lake, and embellished by the clear mountain waters of the River Reuss. Your sightseeing takes in the impressive city walls, a covered wooden bridge, ornate patrician houses lining cobblestone streets, and the Lion Monument—a masterful stone sculpture in honor of the heroic Swiss Guard of Louis XVI. A grand selection of optional activities completes the day: a cable car ride to the 10,000-foot summit of the Mount Titlis, a cruise on the fjord-like lake, and, of course, there is time to shop for that very Swiss watch. See some of Europe’s most precious gems on this magnificent mosaic of European culture. Begin in London with a full day to discover the UK’s capital. Then, cross the Channel by ferry and board your motorcoach to Amsterdam where a guided sightseeing tour and canal cruise await. In Germany, travel along the castle-dotted Rhine River and join the Romantic Road as it passes by medieval fairytale towns with half-timbered houses. Overnight in Munich and continue south through the majestic Dolomites, stopping in Cortina, and on to one-of-a-kind Venice. A boat ride along one of the main canals takes you to St. Mark’s Square and a Local Guide tells you the stories behind famous Venetian landmarks. On to Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, for a guided walking tour that features Santa Croce, Piazza Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Duomo. Heading north, cross the Lombardy plain into Switzerland’s Canton Ticino for a stop in subtropical Lugano before climbing toward St. Gotthard Tunnel and descending to Lake Lucerne. Itinerary

Day 1:
BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.

Day 2:
ARRIVAL IN LONDON, ENGLAND. Check into your hotel. Uniformed Hosts are available to help you make the most of your stay.

Day 3:
LONDON. A full day to savor our rich program of optional activities: take a panoramic tour of London’s landmarks, visit the Tower of London, or choose an excursion to Windsor Castle. Tonight, maybe a leisurely cruise on the River Thames? (B)

Day 4:
LONDON-AMSTERDAM AREA, HOLLAND. Leave London in the early morning and head through the lush English countryside to the Channel port, where you board your ferry for the Continent. Here you meet your Tour Director and join your luxury coach for the drive to the Amsterdam area. (B)

Day 5:
AMSTERDAM AREA-THE RHINELAND, GERMANY. A morning to enjoy Holland’s busy metropolis. After your included visit to a famous diamond center, it’s time for sightseeing with a Local Guide pointing out the city highlights. Finally, a canal cruise to see Amsterdam from water level. In the afternoon travel southwards to reach the Rhineland for an overnight. (B,D)

Day 6:
RHINELAND-ROMANTIC ROAD-MUNICH. Start the day with a scenic drive along the shores of the Rhine or opt for a Rhine cruise. Admire the pretty villages, the castles perched high above the river, and the numerous terraced vineyards. Next, a drive along the Romantic Road, through towns and villages protected by medieval towergates and battlements, with squares of half-timbered houses and richly decorated fountains. Stop awhile in Rothenburg. Overnight in Munich. (B)

Day 7:
MUNICH-INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA-VENICE AREA, ITALY. Travel from Munich to Austria for a stop in the capital of the Tyrol, Innsbruck. In the afternoon drive over Brenner Pass into the Dolomites for a stop in the world-famous resort of Cortina before the descent into the Piave Valley to the Venice area. (B,D)

Day 8:
MORNING IN VENICE-FLORENCE AREA. The included tour starts with a boat ride and is followed by highlights such as a visit to St. Mark’s Basilica and a chance to watch Venetian glassblowers fashion their delicate objects as they did centuries ago. Southwards into the hilly Tuscan countryside to reach the Florence area for two overnights. (B)

Day 9:
FLORENCE. This Renaissance gem and city of the Medicis will keep you enthralled for a whole day. Traffic is banned in part of the historic center, so visitors can wander at leisure and admire the city’s timeless beauty in relative peace and quiet. Don’t miss out on the included walking tour with a Local Guide that features most of the city highlights. You will see the Piazza Santa Croce; the beautiful Piazza Signoria; the Palazzo Vecchio and its courtyard; the Loggia dei Lanzi; and, to top it all, the Piazza del Duomo and its cathedral with the Giotto Campanile, and the magnificent East Door of the Baptistry known as the “Gate to Paradise.” (B,D)

Day 10:
FLORENCE AREA-LAKE LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND. Across the Lombardy plains this morning to Canton Ticino’s subtropical resort of Lugano. Here you take a break to stroll along the lakeside promenade, before climbing towards the St. Gotthard Tunnel. Emerge on the Germanspeaking side of Switzerland and then descend into the gentle landscape around Lake Lucerne. (B,D)

Day 11:
LAKE LUCERNE-PARIS, FRANCE. This morning join an optional boat trip. Then vistas of green pastures and attractive chalets with rustic timbering and luxuriant flowers. Then into France, via the comfortable highway, past some of its most famous vineyards, to Paris. Arrive in time to enjoy an optional cabaret show. (B)

Day 12:
PARIS. Included sightseeing with a local expert of many of the best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Madeleine, the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramid near the Louvre, the Invalides, and Champs Elysées. Optional excursions are also available to visit some of the highlights and, to celebrate the success of your tour, a French farewell dinner might be just the ticket. (B)
