New Orleans (1 Days)
Let the Good Time Roll! Your tour begins with warm Bon Jour from your Contiki road crew. Today you will experience the "Joie de vivre" that oozes out of every pore of this tantalizing city. Your senses will be on overload as you sip café au lait and try beignets at Café du Monde, meander along the sexy streets of the French Quarter, and awe at the immense mansions in the Garden District. This evening we'll dance to the jazzy beat of Dixieland while eating Cajun delights on a riverboat cruise on the Mighty Mississippi tonight (optional).

New Orleans to Pensacola (1 Days)
Life's a Beach. After a day of fun in New Orleans, you'll need a day to rest on the beautiful, white, sandy beaches of Florida's Panhandle on the Gulf of Mexico. Rent a jet ski, try the locally famous "Bushwacker", or get into a game of volleyball on the beach.

Pensacola to Orlando (1 Days)
Mickey and friends, here we come! As we drive across the state of Florida, you'll have time to plan your two full days in Orlando - the mecca of theme parks and entertainment.

Orlando at leisure (2 Days)
There are plenty of parks to choose from - Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and the Walt Disney World complex including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Centre, Animal Kingdom, and the Disney - MGM Studios. For nightlife, why not try Disney's Pleasure Island or Universal's City Walk.

Orlando to St. Augustine incl. Kennedy Space Centre (1 Days)
Blast Off! You will have most of the day to explore Kennedy Space Center. Your tour includes the Saturn V rocket, the history of the Apollo moon landing flights and views of the Space Shuttle Launch pads. Once thought to house 'The Fountain of Youth', we'll make our way to St. Augustine for the night. Tonight, join us for a ghostly adventure! (optional)

St. Augustine to Savannah (1 Days)
Hi Y'all. These two towns are hidden Southern gems. You'll have time to wander the inviting streets of America's oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida before heading onto Savannah, Georgia. Your road crew will introduce you to this charming town and show you the historic city squares where the movie "Forrest Gump" was filmed. The nightlife along the riverfront is way too tempting!

Savannah to Raleigh (1 Days)
Southern Hospitality at its best. Practice your best Southern drawl as you cross the Carolinas today. First stop is the picturesque town of Charleston, then on to Raleigh, North Carolina, your home tonight.

Raleigh to Washington D.C. (1 Days)
We leave Raleigh today and continue our journey north. We'll stop in historic Richmond but arriving in Washington D.C. where it all happens! We start off on a thoughtful note as we visit the Kennedy gravesites and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Your jaw will drop at how beautiful this city is lit up at night during this evening's orientation tour that includes views of the White House and visits to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Capitol Building, and the Lincoln, Jefferson and FDR Memorials.

Washington DC at Leisure (2 Days)
Phew, so much to do in two days - you can see the White House, Capital Building, Washington Monument, and Library of Congress. There is also plenty of time to visit the Smithsonian museums - the Museum of Natural History, the National Air and Space Museum and the Museum of American Indian to name a few.

Washington D.C. to New York (1 Days)
Take a Bite of the Big Apple. What an incredible ending! Four fabulous East Coast states, two tantalizing cities, one U.S. military academy, and a coach load of new friends all add up to a lifetime of fantastic memories. Before arriving at one of most electrifying cities in the world, New York, we'll pop in on Annapolis, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, both lovely and historic. The Adventure Begins! Your morning begins with a warm welcome from your Contiki road crew and a short drive along the Pacific Coast to San Diego, where we'll introduce you to "America's Finest City" with a sightseeing tour, that includes downtown, the Gaslamp Quarter and Balboa Park. We'll drive across the Coronado Bridge for great views of the San Diego skyline as we head south of the border to Tijuana, Mexico for shopping and lunch. Viva Mexico! Tonight we'll enjoy the lively Gaslamp Quarter.

San Diego (1 Days)
Fun in the Sun. Today you choose how to spend your day. Perhaps you'll want to visit the World Famous San Diego Zoo or hang out with the whale, Shamu, at Sea World! This afternoon we'll head to Mission Beach to check out the So Cal beach scene. (weather permitting) This evening experience some of San Diego's nightlife!

San Diego to Phoenix (1 Days)
This morning we leave the beach life of Southern California and travel to the cacti filled Sonoran desert. Today's drive is full of ever changing scenery, passing through Cleveland National Forest, Anza Borrego Desert and the Imperial Sand dunes. After lunch it's on to Phoenix and our hotel in the university town of Tempe.

Phoenix to the Grand Canyon (1 Days)
Today is filled with deserts, red rocks and the Grand Canyon! This morning you'll have an opportunity to take a hot air balloon flight about the incredible Sonoran desert (optional). See the desert come alive as you float peacefully above. Leaving Phoenix we journey to red rock country. You'll be awed by the brilliantly hued sandstone carved by sea and wind into cliffs and rugged spires. Get a closer look at the Sedona back country with an optional jeep ride. Next stop is the Grand Canyon! Our modern cabins are located inside the National Park, just a short walk to the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Grand Canyon National Park (1 Days)
A World Wonder. At over 1.6km (1 mile) deep and averaging 16km (10 miles) wide, it is easy to understand why the Grand Canyon is considered one of the world's seven natural wonders. We have the entire day to hike and explore the national park. Maybe take a sensational helicopter flight over the canyon (optional). Don't miss the spectacular sunset at the Grand Canyon.

Grand Canyon to Las Vegas (1 Days)
On to Sin City! From quiet beauty to outrageous bright lights - Las Vegas awaits you! Tonight, we'll take a drive down the famous Vegas "Strip." You won't believe your eyes at this crazy place! After the light show at Fremont Street, why not take in a Las Vegas cabaret show? (optional)

Las Vegas (1 Days)
Vegas, Baby! Only in Las Vegas can you visit most of the world's largest hotels and casinos in one day, gamble while you swim, catapult 327 meters (1,081 feet) up in the air from the top of the Stratosphere Hotel, feel like you are in Venice, Egypt, New York, Ancient Rome, and Paris all at the same time, and party like a rock star 24 hours a day! Get out there and do it all - or just lie by the pool and relax. Tonight, party on at one of Las Vegas's premier hot spots!

Las Vegas to Yosemite Gateway (1 Days)
Deserts to Mountains. Recount your Vegas adventures to your Contiki friends as we say "goodbye" to the deserts of Nevada and "hello" to the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.

Yosemite National Park (1 Days)
Today, we will explore the magnificent Yosemite National Park, with its famous rock formations of El Capitan and Half Dome. When we arrive on the valley floor, you will have the opportunity to cycle or hike (seasonal and weather permitting) or simply soak up the atmosphere of one of America's treasured national parks.

Yosemite Gateway to San Francisco (1 Days)
The City by the Bay. This city grooves! You will quickly fall in love with this place during your extensive city tour that includes The Golden Gate Bridge, North Beach, Golden Gate Park and Haight Ashbury - hippie central. This afternoon enjoy a sunset sailing adventure on San Francisco's Bay (optional/seasonal).

San Francisco (2 Days)
First up, experience the home to the San Francisco Giants Baseball Club on a guided tour of the AT&T Ballpark. Then enjoy two days exploring this fascinating and diverse city, ride on one of the city's famous cable cars, shop in Union Square, bike across the Golden Gate Bridge, or take a walk down crooked Lombard Street - the world's "crookedest street". Get out your chopsticks and join us for dinner in Chinatown (optional).

San Francisco to Carpinteria via Santa Barbara (1 Days)
Life's a Beach. Check out California's scenery as we head south to the beachside town of Santa Barbara where you'll feel like you are in the Mediterranean. The afternoon is yours to relax at the beach, visit the famous wharf or shop on State Street. We'll stay in a nearby coastal village tonight for the ultimate California experience.

Carpinteria to Los Angeles (Anaheim) (1 Days)
I Love L.A…. This morning we will make the short drive to the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles! First stop is Hollywood Blvd where you'll see the world famous Hollywood sign, Mann's Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame. You'll have the option to get an insiders look at Hollywood and its classic theaters with an optional walking tour. All good things must come to an end and so on to Anaheim where our tour - not the friendships made - end this afternoon. Please Note: Do not book flights before 8:00pm.
