Frequently Asked Questions |
What is the
climate like? Although weather might vary, the area you will
be traveling through in Germany generally has a moderate
amount of rain. Average temperatures for Heidelberg,
Rothenberg and Munich are as follows:
• June - August:
Highs from the low to high 70s, lows in the low to high 50s.
• May and September - October:
Highs from the mid 50s to high 60s, lows from the low
40s to low 50s.
How strenuous are the activities? While this adventure is
not considered physically strenuous, most days will include
one or more hours of walking, often on uneven ground or
cobblestone streets. A number of the destinations require
climbing stairs. There is also a bike-riding activity on a
gentle, paved path. Many days will have motor-coach trips
between destinations that last one or more hours. While
nearly all of the trip's featured activities are relatively
easy if examined separately, the full range of activities
requires a moderate amount of stamina in order to get the
most of your vacation.
What ages are appropriate for this adventure? While we
welcome children ages 4 and up at the time of travel to
discover the stories of the world with us, we recommend that
children be at least 6 years old at the time of travel on
our Once Upon a Fairytale trip. This is based on several
factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone
differences in the destination, duration of the vacation and
amount of physical activity (e.g., walking, biking)
involved. Because each child is different, call a Concierge
Agent to discuss whether this is the right trip for your
little kids.
