Day 2: ARRIVE ZURICH (REGENSDORF)
Welcome to the land of snow-capped mountains, picturesque wooden chalets and cow bells! After check-in, your orientation of the city includes the elegant Bahnhofstrasse and the beautiful stained glass windows of the Fraumünster. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travelers at a Kick-off Party!(Kick-off Party)
Day 3: ZURICH - BERN - CHILLON CASTLE - VILLARS (2 NIGHTS)
In the medieval city of Bern, see the Zytglogge – an elaborate clock tower with moving puppets. View the open air bear park on the banks of the River Aare. After free time for lunch, visit Chillon Castle on the shores of Lake Geneva, dating from the 12th century and Switzerland’s most popular historical monument. Arrive later in the scenic Alpine village of Villars, your home for the next two nights.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 4: EXCURSION TO BROC AND GRUYERES
Visit the Maison Cailler (Nestlé) Chocolate Factory in Broc for a fascinating interactive guided tour and discover the secrets of chocolate making! Traverse spectacular alpine meadows to the fortified town of Gruyères – famous for cheese – where you have free time to explore the picturesque main street and castle.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 5: VILLARS - MARTIGNY - SION - ZERMATT (2 NIGHTS)
Travel along the Rhône valley to the Swiss town of Martigny, famous for its gastronomy and surrounded by vineyards and orchards. See the awesome fortresses in Sion and perhaps try some delicious kuchen (cakes) for tea! Ascend to Zermatt by mini-bus and electric taxi where you can see the Matterhorn, the last great Alpine peak to be conquered by man. Dine tonight at your hotel.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6: ZERMATT AND FREE TIME
Spend a free day relaxing in this beautiful resort in the Swiss Alps. Perhaps take an optional excursion to the Kleine Matterhorn or enjoy a short hike in the crisp mountain air. This evening you might like to sample a delicious traditional cheese fondue!(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 7: ZERMATT - LAUTERBRUNNEN - INTERLAKEN (2 NIGHTS)
Head north to Lauterbrunnen, a picture-perfect town nestled in a valley dotted with typical chalet-style houses. Visit the amazing Trummelbach Falls, featuring ten incredible glacier-waterfalls inside a mountain. There is free time afterwards to shop for Swiss souvenirs. Arrive later at your hotel in Interlaken.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8: EXCURSION TO BRIENZ AND BALLENBERG
Visit a wood-carving center in Brienz and learn about this fascinating skill. At the Swiss Open Air Museum in Ballenberg, experience Switzerland from a historical perspective. Meet some of the 250 farmyard animals, see demonstrations of local crafts and view characteristic houses from every region in the country. Later, return to Interlaken and perhaps enjoy a scenic lakeside walk.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 9: INTERLAKEN - LUCERNE - ZURICH (REGENSDORF)
Discover the delights of Lucerne – one of the most picturesque areas in Switzerland. See the 14th century Chapel Bridge and visit the Lion Monument during your orientation tour. There is time to explore on your own and shop for souvenirs. Perhaps consider an excursion by cog-wheel railway to the summit of Mount Pilatus or enjoy a Swiss Folklore show with lunch. Arrive later in Zurich and celebrate this evening with your companions at a special Farewell Dinner.(Buffet Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)
Day 10: ZURICH - USA
