Day 2: CAIRO AT LEISURE
Welcome to Egypt! On arrival, you are transferred to your hotel, a former royal palace combined with twin towers and six acres of gardens.
Day 3: CAIRO SIGHTSEEING
Meet your Egyptologist for a pre-tour briefing. Then journey to out to Giza to the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. Venture inside one of the pyramids and see the enigmatic Sphinx. Next stop is Tahrir Square, focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. Visit the Egyptian Museum housing the priceless artefacts recovered from the tomb of Tutankhamun.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 4: CAIRO – LUXOR – JOIN CRUISE
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor. Visit Karnak, the largest temple complex ever built by man. Walk through the avenue of Ram-headed sphinxes, past the statue of Rameses II, to the vast Hypostyle Hall, housing 134 giant decorated columns. Now board your luxury cruise ship, one of the most stylish and spacious in Egypt. Overnight on-board in Dendara.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 5: ON BOARD THE MS TOSCA
Visit the Temple of Hathor at Dendara this morning. Built in the 1st century BC it remains one of the best preserved temples in all Egypt and contains a rare depiction of Cleopatra VII and Caesarian, the son of Julius Caesar. After cruising back to Luxor, visit the Temple of Luxor, founded in 1400 BC during Thebe’s Golden Age.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 6: ON BOARD THE MS TOSCA
Travel by air-conditioned coach to the West Bank of the Nile. See the Colossi of Memnon and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. In the Valley of the Kings, visit some of the Pharaohs tombs. Return to your cruise boat and set sail for Kom Ombo. Tonight, join in the fun at an Egyptian dinner and a lively galabeya party.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 7: ON BOARD THE MS TOSCA
Today visit the Kom Ombo Temple then relax and enjoy a visual feast as you cruise along the Nile to Aswan. Sightseeing includes a visit to the High Dam and Granite Quarries to see the unfinished obelisk. Travel by motorboat to the Philae Island temple complex. Sail in a traditional felucca around Kitchener Island. Back on board ship, enjoy a typical Nubian folkloric show with live music.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 8: DISEMBARK ASWAN
Disembark and check into your resort on Elephantine Island. You are at leisure to explore, relax by the pool, or maybe take an optional excursion by air to visit the amazing temples of Abu Simbel? Later enjoy an English style high tea as the sun sets.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 9: ASWAN – CAIRO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo where the afternoon is entirely at leisure.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 10: CAIRO SIGHTSEEING
Today visit to the Citadel for breath-taking views over the city. It owes its present outline to Mohammed Ali, whose great Alabaster Mosque you visit next. Now put your bargaining skills to the test at the Khan El Khalili bazaar. Later, drive to the Pyramids to witness the Sound and Light Show which literally illuminates the ancient history of Giz.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 11: RETURN TO USA
Sadly, your tour comes to an end today. There are transfers to Cairo Airport for your onward flight home.(Buffet Breakfast)
