Day 2: Athens at Leisure
Welcome to Athens! You are met at the airport and transferred to your tour hotel where there is time to settle in and relax. Later, join your Insight Representative for a Welcome Reception with drinks and a light informal meal.(Welcome Reception)
Day 3: Parthenon, Mycenae and Nafplion
This morning's sightseeing tour reveals the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of the Wingless Victory and Hadrian's Arch. The highlight is a visit to the Parthenon, built atop the mighty Acropolis. Now follow the shores of the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which divides the Peloponnese from mainland Greece. Next is the ruined city of Mycenae, featured in epics of Homer. Walk through the Lion Gate, visit the royal 'beehive' tombs and see the giant Cyclopean stones used to build the city walls. Continue to the elegant seaside town of Nafplion.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 4: Olympia, Birthplace of the Olympics
After breakfast this morning travel into the heart of Argolis to visit the sanctuary of Asclepios at Epidauros with its superb 4th century BC theatre. Visit the Museum and the Asklepeion. Then a delightful drive takes you through the mountains of Arkadia to Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 5: Delphi, Centre of the Ancient World
In Olympia this morning, see the Olympic Stadium where the original games were first held in 776BC, plus the athletes' gymnasium and the city's ancient temples. Then head north to Patras and cross the soaring Rio-Antirrio bridge to the mainland. Follow the coast road before climbing into the foothills of Mount Parnassus and on to your hotel.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 6: The Sacred Way and Kalambaka
Ascend the Sacred Way of Delphi, past the Parian marble Treasury of the Athenians and superb Polygonal Wall. Now approach the legendary Temple of Apollo, where the mysterious Oracle of Delphi breathed her enigmatic 'words'. Continuing north stop at the pass at Thermopylae, site of one of history's most famous last stands in 480BC. Continue through the market town of Trikala to Kalambaka. This evening enjoy a Celebration Dinner at your hotel complete with wine and good cheer.(Buffet Breakfast / Celebration Dinner)
Day 7: Meteora Monasteries and Athens
Visit one of the amazing Metéora monasteries, incredibly perched on top of pinnacles of rock and enjoy stunning views over the Peneios Valley. Afterwards, cross fertile Thessaly, for a scenic drive along the coast to return to Athens.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 8: Mykonos Mystique
An early departure takes you to the port of Piraeus where your high-speed express ferry awaits to whisk you over to the Island of Mykonos, playground of the rich and famous. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. Then you have two glorious days at leisure. Explore the town with its winding maze of walkways, whitewashed houses, magnificent windmills and uninhibited nightlife. Perhaps watch the sunset at Shirley Valentine beach or take a short boat ride to Delos?(Buffet Breakfast / Buffet Breakfast / Buffet Breakfast)
Day 11: The Sunsets of Santorini
Board the high-speed bound for the truly beautiful island of Santorini. You are met at the port and transferred to your hotel. This evening enjoy a superb dinner of local specialties while the sun disappears behind the silhouette of the submerged volcano. With two more sun drenched days on one of the most romantic islands on earth, you wont ever want to leave. Day 14: Santorini - Athens
This morning maybe take one last dip in the pool and grab your final glimpse over the lustrous Aegean and world-famous caldera. You are transferred to the airport for your return flight to Athens. Day 15: Return to USA

Book two Insight vacations, and you will receive a reduction of 5% off the cheaper of the two tours. Take three tours and save on two!

3 - Young Traveller Savings (5-17 year olds) - SAVE UP TO 10%
Insight offers you the opportunity of sharing your happy holiday memories with your children or grandchildren.
Young Travellers must be under the age of 18 years old on the tour departure date and accompanied by an adult, sharing a twin room (limit of one Young Traveller Discount per room). Children under 5 years old are not accepted on any escorted tour. This discount cannot be combined with our Small Group Discount.
4 - Triple Room Discount - THREE TRAVELLING TOGETHER
When three people travel together and share one room, each of the three enjoys a discount off the tour price.

In recognition of our loyal customers, Insight now extends to all travelled guests automatic membership into our Club Bon Voyage, as well as a 5% Discount off the Land portion of their next Insight trip. Enrolment forms and discount vouchers are available from your Tour Director. Insight’s Club Bon Voyage and 5% Discount is not available retroactively. 6 - Single Traveller Saving - INSIGHT'S ROOM MATE MATCHING
If you are travelling alone on an Insight coach tour, we can match you with someone of the same gender, so you don't have to pay the single room supplement. If we fail to match you, we'll provide a single room at no extra cost.
There is a no-smoking policy in all shared rooms. Exceptions apply.
7 - Friends & Family - TRAVELLING AS A SMALL GROUP
Save money by travelling as a small group. Perhaps it’s a social club, sports group or just friends or family! We offer a 5% discount if 5-8 guests book together. For 9 or more guests, further savings are available!
