Day 2 - The Isle of Capri

Day 3 - Dine with Caterina d’Esposito at her family villa
After a leisurThis morning’s excursion features one of the world’s most celebrated scenic drives! Enjoy fabulous views of Positano, a walking tour in Amalfi’s charming Old Town and a seaside lunch with wine. Return to Sorrento for some free time before a pleasant late afternoon stroll to one of the splendid villas which you’ve undoubtedly already admired. Here at the historic Villa Silvana, you’ll enjoy cocktails and canapés with your hostess Caterina d'Esposito before sitting down to an elegant dinner overlooking the Bay of Naples. Your meal is accompanied by a selection of wines handpicked by your hostess. After dinner, you’ll receive a signed copy of Ms. Rita Pane’s 'Tastes of Southern Italy' cookbook as our gift. Meals B,L,D
Day 4 - Tour Pompeii and travel to Rome
Destroyed by a cataclysmic eruption in AD 79, the petrified city of Pompeii #WHS# is the largest and most famous archaeological excavation in the world. Feel her ancient glory as you tour the site with your engaging guide. Then continue on to Rome and check in to the Rose Garden Palace Hotel. Meals B

Day 6 - Through Umbria to Florence #WHS#
Journey this morning into Umbria, a pastoral landscape dotted with Renaissance-era villages and Medieval fortresses. Visit the picturesque Arnaldo Caprai vineyard for a wine tasting and lunch of fine Umbrian dishes before continuing your journey into neighboring Tuscany. Day 7 - Florence to Cinque Terre

Day 8 - Italy’s breathtaking northwest coast
Today you will see all five villages of Cinque Terre, set amidst rocky grottoes and secluded beaches. To fully appreciate the seaside charms of this region, stroll with your guide along romantic coastal trails like the Path of Lovers and travel between villages by rail or on scenic boat rides. In this way, you’ll visit Riomaggiore, Manarola and splendid Monterosso al Mare, which clings to rugged cliffs at the northern end of Cinque Terre.
