Today we depart for Cocoa Beach, the surfing capital of the East Coast, where we’ll join in on its kick back, easy beach-style. This evening enjoy a bit of nightlife.

Cocoa Beach to St. Augustine via Kennedy Space Center (Breakfast, Dinner Days)
We head north along Florida’s “Space Coast” on our way to Kennedy Space Center where we’ll spend the day exploring America’s aeronautical history. Then it’s off to St. Augustine, the country’s oldest city once thought to house "The Fountain of Youth."

St. Augustine to Savannah (Breakfast Days)
You'll have time to mill around the cobblestone streets St. Augustine before heading onto Savannah, Georgia, a charming Southern town full of historic city squares, picturesque gardens and steeped in fascinating history. See the locations where the movie "Forrest Gump" was filmed. The nightlife along the riverfront is way too tempting!

Savannah to Raleigh via Charleston (Breakfast, Dinner Days)
You’ll see the gracious Old South live on with a stop in hospitable Charleston en route to the college town of Raleigh.

Raleigh to Washington D.C. (Breakfast, Dinner Days)
We leave Raleigh today and continue our journey north. We'll stop in historic Richmond before arriving in Washington D.C. where it all happens! We start off on a thoughtful note as we visit the Kennedy gravesites and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. See the city all dressed up in light during this evening's orientation tour that includes views of the White House and visits to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Capitol Building, and the Lincoln, Jefferson and FDR Memorials.

Washington D.C. (Breakfast, Breakfast, Dinner Days)
You'll find plenty to do for 2 free days in this distinguished city. See the White House, Capital Building, Washington Monument and Library of Congress. There is also time to visit the Smithsonian museums - the Museum of Natural History, the National Air and Space Museum and the Museum of American History.

Washington D.C. to New York (Breakfast Days)
Today experience four fabulous East Coast states and one U.S. military academy before arriving at one of most electrifying cities in the world, New York. Terms and Conditions:

1.The referral program is valid for new trips booked as of May 1, 2009.

8.Contiki is not responsible if a Referrer fails to properly identify a Referee. Contiki will not retroactively record a friend who was not identified at the time of sign-up.

9.Contiki will not allow a Referee to be claimed by more than one Referrer. Once a Referee’s e-mail address has been given, it may not be changed.

10.Cash will be given out in the form of a gift card from a major credit card company with a value of $100. Gift card will be issued to Referrer only after Referee completes travel on their trip of 8 days or longer. If a Referee cancels for any reason, the referral reward is forfeited.
