$11 Million of Travel Protection
For your peace of mind, Cosmos provides not just one, but two financial plans for your protection—the Cosmos $10 Million Customer Protection Plan* AND the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program. Cosmos has provided a $10 million letter of credit issued by a leading bank to protect payments made by its customers for all vacation departures.
This is in addition to the $1 million assistance plan maintained by the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA). Cosmos feels it is important to assure our customers and our travel partners that we are financially secure and that we back our products 100%.
Cosmos, as an Active Member of USTOA, is required to post $1 Million with USTOA to be used to reimburse, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the USTOA Travelers Assistance Program, the advance payments of Cosmos customers in the unlikely event of Cosmos bankruptcy, insolvency, or cessation of business. Further, you should understand that the $1 Million posted by Cosmos may be sufficient to provide only a partial recovery of the advance payments received by Cosmos. *The $10 million letter of credit has been issued by Credit Suisse S.A. in favor of PRO-CLAIM, INC. of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, acting as trustee of a trust for the benefit of Globus and Cosmos customers who advance deposits or payments for any Globus or Cosmos tour departure sold in the United States. PRO-CLAIM INC., as trustee of the trust, is responsible for refunding deposits or payments (excluding deposits or payments made by credit cards, since chargebacks are available), for Globus and Cosmos tours sold in the United States in the event Group Voyagers Inc., d/b/a Globus and Cosmos, becomes insolvent, bankrupt or ceases business.

The plan costs from $89-$119 per person (depending on the vacation destination and price) and offers a wide range of benefits.

The easy, affordable way to protect your vacation investment! Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Our Travel Protection Plan, designed for member companies of the Globus family of brands, is your ticket to worry-free travel. Now you can protect your travel investment at a very affordable group rate -- take the peace of mind with you when you travel.
Plus, for those who purchase the Globus Travel Protection Plan, Globus provides the option to also purchase the Globus Travel Protection Plus Plan.
This additional benefit* (if purchased) allows you to cancel your vacation up to 24 hours (or the prior business day, whichever is farther out) before your scheduled departure for any reason. Under this Travel Protection Plus Plan Benefit, Globus will reimburse the cancellation penalty amount in travel certificates, minus this plan cost. Independently arranged air is not covered.
Any benefit payable under this Travel Protection Plus Plan will be reduced by the amount of any cancellation benefits paid or payable by the Globus Travel Protection Plan or any other insurance plan providing trip cancellation benefits.

Waiver of the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion
This plan is available regardless of your age. The Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion is waived provided you meet the following requirements: 1) the plan payment for the coverage is received by Globus with the initial deposit/payment for your Trip and 2) you are not disabled from travel at the time you make your plan payment.

Travel Protection Plus
If you purchase the Cosmos Travel Protection Plan, you may also purchase the optional Cosmos Travel Protection Plus Plan at an additional cost of only $30.00 per person. This additional Benefit** (if purchased) allows you to cancel your vacation up to 24 hours (or the prior business day, whichever is farther out) before your scheduled departure for any reason not covered by the basic Travel Protection Plan provisions. Under this Travel Protection Plus Plan Benefit, Cosmos will reimburse the cancellation penalty amount, as retained by the Cosmos, in travel certificates, minus the insurance premium. Travel certificates are valid for travel within one year from the date of issue, but no later than 15 months from the date you cancel your trip.
** The Travel Protection Plus Plan is provided by Cosmos and is not an insurance benefit and must be purchased with the initial payment for your trip.

The Globus family of brands Travel Protection Plan protects your travel investment if your Trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason such as injury, illness or death of you, an immediate family member, or a traveling companion or business partner.
If you must interrupt your Trip or return home early for a covered reason, the plan will pay (up to the original cost of your Trip) for your unused land or cruise arrangements, less any refund paid or payable, plus the additional air expense to return home or rejoin your Trip.
The Globus family of brands Travel Protection Plan will also pay the additional cost for a change in the per person occupancy rate if a traveling companion’s Trip is canceled for a covered reason and your Trip continues.
Medical Expense and Emergency Assistance Benefits Could Be a Real Lifesaver!
If you have a serious illness or injury, the last thing you want to worry about is getting the care you need. The Globus family of brands Travel Protection Plan gives you peace of mind with benefits that cover, up to the plan's limits, everything from medical expenses (incurred within one year of a sickness or injury that began during your Trip) to special transportation (such as an air ambulance) required for medical reasons.
Travel Delayed? You're OK!
You’ll be reimbursed up to $100 per day (to a maximum of $1,000 total) for meals and accommodations if your Trip is delayed for more than 12 hours for a covered reason.
Baggage Lost or Damaged? You're Protected!
It’s a traveler’s nightmare. You arrive at your destination, but your baggage has disappeared. Or has been stolen or damaged. What do you do? If you’re protected by the Globus family of brands Travel Protection Plan, you’ll be reimbursed up to $2,500 to replace or repair your lost or damaged luggage and personal articles.
Baggage Delayed? Need Clothes and Toiletries? Count on us!
The Globus family of brands Travel Protection Plan reimburses you up to $250 to help cover the cost of clothing, toiletries and/or personal items if your baggage is delayed for more than 24 hours while you are on your Trip.
Accidental Death Benefit
Your beneficiaries will receive payment according to the Plan's Schedule of Coverages for accidental death which occurs within 365 days of an injury sustained while you are on your Trip.
