Can I travel on a family vacation without children?

Family vacations are specifically for families and companions traveling with families. For these vacations, Globus defines a family as any party traveling with at least one traveler under the age of 21. Unfortunately, passengers not meeting this criterion may not book these vacations, so that we can deliver the family friendly environment promised by these specialized vacations. Globus offers a wide range of other vacations more suited for parties not traveling with children. In fact, you can choose from an array of Globus vacations worldwide.

What is the Travel Protection Plus plan?

The Plus Plan offers additional coverage at a cost of only $30 per person in combination with the basic Travel Protection Plan and will allow for cancellations up to 24 hours of departure (or prior business day, whichever is farther out) for any reason. In the event the reason for the cancellation is not covered under the basic Travel Protection Plan, the cancellation penalty as retained by Globus will be reimbursed in the form of Travel Certificates valid for one year from the date of issue but no later than 15 months from the date of cancellation. This additional coverage must be elected and purchased with the initial payment of your vacation. Independently purchased air is not covered. Click here for more details.

Why is it important that I give my name as it appears on my passport when booking air?

Due to increased travel security around the world, it is now more important than ever that your airline ticket match your first and last name exactly as it reads on your passport. Additionally any changes to your air booking, which include spelling, could be subject to a change fee, penalties or cancellation.

Do I need a passport and a visa?

When traveling outside the United States, a passport is required for U.S. citizens. Some countries also require a visa. If you are a U.S. citizen, detailed visa information will be provided to you after you book your vacation. Non-U.S. citizens should consult with appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are needed. Globus’ preferred supplier of visa services is Zierer Visa Service (ZVS).

What size can my suitcase be?

Due to limited coach capacity, your bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30"x21"x11" (62" linear dimensions) or weight exceeding 50 lbs. In addition, Globus will supply each traveler with a complimentary carry-on bag; however, should you prefer to take along a different carry-on, it should not exceed the dimensions of 12"x11"x6". Please note that air carriers, cruise lines and other forms of transportation may have other restrictions and requirements including weight, and we recommend that you contact the suppliers directly for additional information. We regret we are unable to accept a second suitcase or any luggage exceeding these limits.

What is the difference between a twin bedded room and a double room?

A double room is a room designed to accommodate two people, though not necessarily with two separate beds. A twin bedded room has two separate beds of any size; this is what we usually reserve for our travelers.

What size is a triple room?

A triple room is the same size as a twin bedded room. It will have beds to accommodate three people; however, we cannot guarantee that there will be three separate beds. If there are only two beds, a rollaway may be requested but also cannot be guaranteed.

When will I receive my travel documents?

Travel documents, including any paper air tickets or e-ticket itineraries and other information, are sent approximately two to three weeks prior to departure provided full payment has been received.
