Italy Tour Packages and Vacations

Italy tours vary from escorted vacations and hosted trips where you have more free time, to trains tours and family tours that include activities for all ages.

The most popular Italy tours explore Rome, Florence and Venice. If you have more time then you can consider adding in Naples and the Amalfi Coast, or perhaps Milan and the Italian Riviera. Other may prefer to spend their time enjoying Tuscany.

Rome:
On most Italy tours, Rome if the starting point, and you will normally have at least a half day of sightseeing included in the price.  Highlights could include the Colosseum, Roman Forum, the Pantheon, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel.  Don't forget to throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain which many feel will ensure your return to Rome.

Florence:
Your next stop popular itineraries, is usually Florence.  When you arrive in Florence, it is easy to pick out the pointed tower of the Palazzo Vecchio, and the Duomo Cathedral's massive dome, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi.  Outside of the Duomo is Giotto's graceful Campanile or Bell Tower. Not far from the cathedral is the Piazza della Signoria, one of the most popular squares in Florence.  Other places you may want to visit are the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio bridge, Bobli Gardens and the Accademia.

Venice:
The heart of Venice centers around St. Mark's Square.  The piazza is huge yet harmonious with covered galleries all around sheltering luxury shops and cafes.  Places of interest include the Accademia Gallery, Basilica San Marco, the Grand Canal, Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto Bridge.

However, Rome, Florence and Venice only the beginning.  There is so much to see and do throughout this vast country.  You can focus on visiting just the Italian Lakes area. Spend time in Tuscany and Cinque Terre enjoying culinary and wine delights. Start in Rome and head south all the way Sicily or spend your days basking in the Mediterranean sun in the Amalfi Coast.  We offer hundreds of tours and vacations options.  Italy tours vary from escorted vacations where you have a guide and many preplanned activities, to hosted trips where you have the important details taken care of but spend more time exploring on your own, to trains tours and family tours that include activities for all ages.

One thing is for certain, Italy tours offer something for every interest, including those that love food and wine, architecture, art, music or shopping.  Visit Italy and create memories that will last the rest of your life!
