Crystal Symphony from Crystal Cruises

• Internet Access
  Wi-Fi access is available on board throughout the ship, so feel free to bring your laptop. Once on board, please contact the Computer University@Sea to sign up for Wi-Fi during your voyage. Internet access charges will apply.

  Charges for Internet access are $50 for 120 minutes (2 hours), $200 for 600 minutes (10 hours) and $300 for 1,500 minutes (25 hours). The current schedule of charges is available on board. Crystal is pleased to offer guests 20 minutes of free Internet at the end of your cruise (24 hours prior to your scheduled disembarkation time) in order to check-in and print your airline boarding passes in advance of your airport arrival.

  Laptop Rentals: Rental PC laptops are available for your use on board for a nominal daily charge. From these specially configured computers you can access the Internet as well as your shipboard e-mail from your stateroom. The current schedule of charges is available on board.

  IPAD Usage: As of August 13, 2010, Crystal is supporting the use of IPADs on board. To ensure you can use your IPAD please update your IPAD with the latest software, available from Apple, prior to embarkation.

• Special Dietary Needs - Advance Notice Required
  If you require a special diet, including any food allergies, or need specific food items during your cruise, please submit your written dietary requests to the Onboard Guest Services Department by fax (310-785-3975) or email (onboardgstsvcs@crystalcruises.com) at least 90 days (3 months) prior to sailing. Requests submitted 90 days or more before the sailing may be shipped within the normal supply chain. Requests submitted 90 days or less before the sailing would need to be arranged outside of the normal supply chain and costs associated with the shipment may be assessed. In addition, there may be a charge for some special requests, as well as any applicable shipping fees. Crystal strives to make every attempt to satisfy requests, but in some instances they may be unable to do so due to logistics, availability of products, and local restrictions. Please confirm any approved arrangements with the Food and Beverage staff on the day of embarkation.

• Wheelchair Access & Special Needs
  Guests with any disability, including those primarily confined to wheelchairs or scooters, are medically oxygen dependent, are hearing impaired or use service animals, must notify Crystal Cruises at the time of booking as they may be required to submit forms for Release and Indemnity directly to Onboard Guest Services by fax 310-785-3975 or email onboardgstsvcs@crystalcruises.com prior to sailing.

  Guests must bring their own wheelchair, electrically powered wheelchair or electric scooter that does not exceed 22" wide. Release and Indemnity forms are required and must be submitted to Onboard Guest Services at least two (2) weeks prior to sailing. Please note: Crystal Cruises reserves the right to limit the number of electric scooters on board.

  Crystal ships were designed to be accessible for the physically challenged, with ramp access to most decks and public areas. Ships’ elevators can accommodate most wheelchairs, power wheelchairs or motorized scooters that do not exceed 22" wide, allowing access to all public decks. It is strongly recommended that the guest be accompanied by a traveling companion for better access to all areas on and around both Crystal ships, as well as ashore.

  Certain staterooms offer extra-wide doors, fully wheelchair-accessible bathrooms and wheelchair-accessible closets with low-fitted hanging rods. Some suites offer limited wheelchair access to personal facilities. Staterooms and suites designated for guests with disabilities are subject to availability and must be reserved prior to boarding the ship.

  As some ports of call are anchorage ports and others may be challenging, physical conditions may preclude guests requiring wheelchairs or scooters from going ashore. This decision is made at the discretion of the ship’s Captain or doctor, and is binding.

  The onboard Shore Excursions staff is able to assist with recommendations on which Crystal Adventures tours, if any, are best suited for physically challenged guests.

  Additional conditions may apply and should be discussed in detail with Onboard Guest Services at time of booking.

• Smoking Policy
  Crystal Cruises recognizes that some guests smoke while others do not. Therefore, the living environment on Crystal ships is designed to satisfy everyone. Most areas of the ships are non-smoking. There are designated smoking and non-smoking tables in most bars and lounges (except The Bistro, inside the Lido Café, Palm Court, Stardust, the Crystal Dining Room, Prego, Silk Road and The Sushi Bar restaurants, and the Galaxy Lounge, which are entirely smoke-free). Pipes and cigars are permitted only in the Connoisseur Club, and on the "open decks," EXCEPT all areas of Lido Deck. Pipes and cigars may NOT be smoked in guest Penthouses, staterooms, on verandahs or in corridors. Crystal Cruises kindly asks its guests to observe the non-smoking areas, which have been created for the comfort and enjoyment of everyone on board.

  Please note: Smoking is no longer allowed on verandahs of all staterooms and suites. Smoking is permitted in select public areas, as designated above.

  The popular Computer University@Sea program is offered on all cruises. CU@Sea provides e-mail services, Internet access, group and individual instruction on use of a PC, extensive enrichment course offerings and digital camera support. Each ship has at least 25 state-of-the-art workstations. Complimentary classes are offered each cruise. Details of these are listed in the onboard daily newsletter, Reflections. There is a nominal setup fee when you begin to use any CU@Sea services involving off-ship communication. Fees apply for e-mail sent and received on board, as well as Internet access.

• Seasonal Children's Program
  Crystal ships feature a fully supervised Junior Activities program for kids between the ages of 3 and 17 on Holiday voyages and nearly all summer sailings, each with dedicated play areas for both young kids and teens. Children are supervised during their activities with the Junior Activities Directors, and children with parents’ permission are free to come and go as they please. The Junior Activities program is not intended to be utilized as a babysitting service or daycare facility. Children under the age of the 3 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
• Babysitters Available
  In-stateroom babysitting services are available onboard for your convenience. Arrangements can be made through the Concierge located at the reception desk. We kindly ask that guests give one day's notice, should they require babysitting services. Fees are $10 per hour for one child, $15 per hour for two children and $20 per hour for three children. To satisfy safety concerns, the maximum number of children/babies watched by one babysitter is three.

• Crystal Dining Room
  Savor authentic pad thai on a journey through Asia. Or fresh paella while cruising the coast of Spain. The Crystal Dining Room sets the stage for an eclectic menu of regionally inspired dishes as well as traditional classics.
   
• Lido Café
  A bright and welcoming space offering exceptional panoramic sea views, this indoor/outdoor venue features elaborate breakfast buffets with exotic fruits, fresh-baked breads and pastries, as well as made-to-order regular and egg white omelettes, waffles, and pancakes. Luncheon buffets include custom-made pastas and salads, a delicious selection of soups, carved meats, fresh fish and sumptuous desserts, including sugar-free options.
   
• Prego
  Charming and romantic, Prego brings the flavors of Italy to Crystal. A seasonally changing Valentino at Prego menu features signature dishes such as Scaloppine Di Vitello Servite Con Capelli D’angelo and Linguine Con Aragosta E Zucchini, along with wines that are served at Piero Selvaggio’s revered Los Angeles and Las Vegas restaurants, Valentino. Valentino is considered by many to be among the finest Italian restaurants in the country.
   
• Silk Road
  Silk Road presents Nobu's celebrated dishes such as Lobster with Truffle-Yuzu Sauce, Grilled Wagyu Beef Rib-Eye with Wasabi Pepper Sauce, and his signature dessert, a Bento Box filled with Chocolate Soufflé Cake with Shiso Syrup and Sesame Ice Cream. The famed chef enjoys a long history with Crystal and unveiled his own line of fine china during Crystal Serenity’s inaugural season.
   
• The Sushi Bar
  The eclectic–and delectable–cuisine of world-renowned master chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa is prepared by Nobu-trained chefs at The Sushi Bar. Regarded for his innovative approach to sushi, Nobu blends classically styled Japanese foods with distinct Peruvian and European influences. The Sushi Bar offers an assortment of Nobu’s inventive sushi and sashimi, including Salmon Tartar with Sevruga Caviar, Tiradito Nobu-style and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño.
   
• The Bistro
  In the heart of the ship, this popular European-inspired café is buzzing with activity all day. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a freshly baked morning croissant with espresso before venturing out for your shoreside adventures.
