Lindblad Expedition Cruises has offered travellers an alternative way look around the world of travel since 1979. Every journey differs, but there are some aspects of the cruise which are common to all of them: The trips are made to take you to places associated with natural beauty and provide compelling history, while staying away from the typical tourist stops. While your trip may be adventurous, people who travel with Lindblad appreciate excellent accommodations, delicious meals and amazing service.

Delfin II

Sails From: Lima

With its hardwood floors, rattan-draped sofas, wooden slate hammocks and graceful, modern design, Delfin II is more than comfortable as a base for exploration. The only ingredients used by Delfin II's chef that are not local are olive oil and balsamic vinegar – even the chocolates placed on your pillow each night are made on board daily.

National Geographic Explorer

Sails From: Depart Gateway City

The newest addition to Lindblad's fleet is the National Geographic Explorer, an ice-class polar expedition vessel that will hold 148 guests in 81 outside cabins. The ship is the seventh in the Lindblad fleet and is being redesigned to provide travelers with the most innovative tools for exploring the undersea, the polar regions and remote destinations around the globe.

Sea Cloud

Sails From: Depart Gateway City

Sea Cloud was built in 1931 by Wall Street businessman E. F. Hutton for his wife, Marjorie Merriweather Post. There is no ship afloat that can compare for grace, fine service and the sheer joy of sailing. Sails are raised by hand by a spirited crew. She carries 30 sails measuring a total of 32,000 square feet. Although the ship is enormously elegant, she is also friendly and informal, making for a relaxed time. Dress aboard ship is also relaxed and casual.

Lord of the Glens

Sails From: Depart Gateway City

The moment you step aboard the Lord of the Glens you are surrounded by the rich mahogany finishes of the reception area and lobby. The ship is magnificently appointed and brings to mind that one is in a stately country manor rather than a five-star ship.

National Geographic Islander

Sails From: Depart Gateway City

This new addition to the Galápagos is a versatile 164-foot twin-hulled vessel with 24 spacious cabins comfortably accommodating 48 guests. She is a sturdy expedition ship, designed for year-round discovery and active exploration of the Galápagos. Both the dining room and the lounge feature full-height windows providing a beautiful panorama to these magical islands. The Islander carries a fleet of four Zodiacs, capable of launching at a moment's notice to view wildlife and to make remote landings. The ship carries a complete range of snorkeling gear including wetsuits as well as a Splash-Cam and video microscope.

National Geographic Sea Lion

Sails From: Depart Gateway City, Juneau, Portland, Seattle, Sitka

The public areas of this ship include: Lounge with bar and facilities for films, slide shows and lectures; Library; Sun Deck with chairs; Outside Deck area for viewing the magnificent scenery. Their "open Bridge" policy allows you to meet officers and crew. Meals are served in the Dining Room in one unhurried seating with fine views through panoramic windows. Breakfast is a wide selection buffet and lunch is often served family style.

National Geographic Endeavour

Sails From: Depart Gateway City

Don’t let her accommodating public and private spaces, the posh quiet and rich collection of books in her Library, or the lavish observation space on her decks fool you — the M.S. National Geographic Endeavour is an expedition ship, designed for discovery and active exploration, not just passing-by. The National Geographic Endeavour heads out equipped with a fleet of Zodiacs, enabling us to make landfall in all the remote and riveting locations that beckon — and to make a somewhat dashing “entrance” in a host of coastal towns and cities! We offer kayaking opportunities wherever possible and frequent walks or hikes.

An enthusiastic staff filled with naturalists and historians is actually available to share their understanding of the destination and inspire you. You will experience the pure excitement associated with traveling to new, exciting locations with a small group of like-minded travellers, in an casual environment. While there's a plan, Lindblad is usually willing to change it so you will not miss natural events along the way.

Whether you choose to take a Lindblad Expedition for a Galapagos Cruise, Alaska Cruise or Antarctica, you'll have a more in-depth encounter on an expedition than any passive cruise can offer.
